es.Treatmentproducestumorremissioninapproximately90%ofcases,withdurationofremissionandsurvivaldependentuponthetreatmentregimenused.UseofPrednisonealonehelpstoimprovequalityoflife,however,remissionsarebrief,lastingonlyabout30days.CombiningCyclophosphamidewithPrednisonemayprovideaslightlylongerdurationofremission（30-60days）.TreatmentwithDoxorubinalonehasproducedremissionsforupto18-29weeks.Arecentstudyindicatesthatmonitoringplasmaglutathione-S-transferasemaybehelpfulinevaluatingtherapeuticresponsetodoxorubicintreatment.TheUW-Mprotocol（describedabove）hasdemonstratedthelongestdurationsofremissionslasting44-69weeksforearlystagelymphomasand36-51weeksformoreadvancedlymphomas.<br><br>PREVENTION:Considerableevidencelinksdevelopmentoflymphomawithdefectsinorsuppressionoftheimmunesystem.Therefore,preventionoflymphomamaylieineffortstoprotectpredisposeddogswithimmunodeficiencyorauto-immunediseasesfromexposuretoenvironmentalcarcinogensthatincreaselikelihoodofcancerdevelopment.Additionally,frequentuseofimmunosuppressivedrugsmayalsoincreaseriskoflymphoma.<br>
