人HBV-Pol对于乙肝病毒的染色体复制至关重要。目前美国FDA通过的6种治疗慢性乙型肝炎的药物中,lamivudine, adefovir dipivoxil, entecavir 和 telbivudine 都是HBV-Pol 的抑制剂[13]。因此对于该蛋白的研究将会有利于更多治疗乙肝药物的研发。
根据本试验中的方法,可以在酵母表达系统中进行大规模生产人HBV-Pol的尝试。该重组蛋白的纯化产物将有利于对人HBV-Pol的生化特性的研究,也可能对该蛋白的特异性抗体的制备提供便利。
