Angiographic Diagnosis and Interventional Therapy for Iliac Vein Compression Syndrome

（Department of Radiology，Xinqiao Hospital, The Third Military Medical University of Chinese PLA, Chongqing 400037 China）Abstract: Objective To explore the value of angiographic diagnosis and interventional therapy for iliac vein compression syndrome(IVCS).Methods Thirtyseven patients with IVCS (13 men, 24 woman; aged 14~53; average age, 32.5 6.5) underwent angiography and interventional therapy were analyzed retrospectively.Results In the 37 cases, the correct diagnoses were obtained through the angiography. There were 23 cases with 1eft iliac vein compression syndrome, 9 cases with right iliac vein compression syndrome and 5 cases with both side compression out of 37 patients. Eleven patients had complete cl ot lysis. The iliac vein narrowings in 14 of 16 patients were successfully managed with PTA and the narrowings of iliac vein in 5 patients were successfully treated by deployment of stent.
